WOW! The ski season is finally here! Last season was epic with so much snow that most resorts could have stayed open well into the spring and summer if demand was there. Alpine & Squaw opened over the July 4th weekend and the skiing was truly awesome! Although off to a slower start than normal, this season is predicted to produce lots and lots of snow with skiers and boarders enjoying the new ticket options and world-class terrain at popular ski reports such as Sugar Bowl (closest major Tahoe Resort to Sacramento and the Bay Area), Alpine Meadows (always lots of snow) and Diamond Peak (awesome for families) on the North Shore, Homewood (great deals and views) on the West Shore and the local's favorite on South Shore, Kirkwood. Make your plans now as deals are available for those who do their homework often and early! Season Passes can still be purchased and if you ski move than 6 days per year, they’re a deal.
